Ranked as one of Egypt's premier STEM institutions
Founded in 2024 in the heart of New Cairo, New Cairo STEM School (NCSS) began with a bold vision: originally designed to unite Egypt’s brightest STEM students into one hub of innovation. Though later reshaped as a public STEM high school, its spirit of excellence, ambition, and discovery remain at its core. From the very first day, NCSS stood out not because of history, but because of potential. As the first generation of students, we are building traditions, writing stories, and setting the foundation for the future of our school.
With support from USAID, World Learning, and the Egyptian Ministry of Education, NCSS is part of a growing national STEM schools dedicated to developing leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each year, NCSS enrolls 130 students (65 girls and 65 boys) through a highly competitive admission process that looks beyond grades focusing on identifying students with creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills. With our second cohort arriving this year, NCSS is already building its legacy as a home for Egypt’s future pioneers.
NCSS is more than buildings and labs. As one of Egypt’s newest STEM schools, our students are the first generation the foundation of a story still being written, a community of thinkers, dreamers, and doers, and our students are innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders in the making. We believe that education is not about memorization, but about transformation. The journey has only just begun, but the message is clear: The future starts here.
